My little guy is 6!!!

My little guy is
6 years old today!!

I can't believe he is this old! I really love this age, ok I love every age. It is fun to see what they learn and discover at each age especially when you look back. I had to list a few things I love about Max. I was only going to do 6 but that is few in my eyes and I could have gone on forever! He makes me LOVE being a MOM! Max has something about him that once someone meets Max they instantly love him and never forget him!

HAPPY
BIRTHDAY BIG GUY!

I love his huge
brown eyes!

I love listening to him play, his imagination is so vivid!

I love that he wants me to snuggle in bed with him every night.

I love that he will always try any food at least once and will always pick a piece of fruit
over a treat!

I love his Lego creations.

I love that he is Daddy's boy and always has been.

I love his strong bond with Papa NEd and thinks he is the coolest guy around.

I love that he plays GIRLY stuff with Kate.

I love that he loves to learn and loves to go to school.

I love that he looks at life as an adventure and cannot wait for the next.

I love his quick WIT!

I love that he has a kind

HEART and reminds ME to be the same way!

I love Christmas!!!!

We had a very MERRY CHRISTMAS at the Sutch house. On Christmas Eve we went to Outback for dinner and then to the Movie Tale of Despereaux. It was a very relaxing night and the kids were so good and did not get so wild. As we were leaving the movie ,it was about 8:30, Max says to me Mom do you think Santa has flown by yet? There was a couple walking next to us and Max made them BELIEVE again .

Christmas morning was DELIGHTFUL, this was a first for Max, he woke up on his own around 7:30 in the past we have had to wake him up. Kate was confused about why we were waking her from her beauty rest. It was fun watching Max teach Kate the ropes of Christmas morning. I love just sitting there watching them unwrap everything and the looks on their faces. Max is so animated anyway so he was a crack up. Kate would unwrap and then immediately run to Jake and say open this Daddy! It was not quite the same without Grandma and Grandpa Montgomery.

Max's FAVORITES were army guy legos, a castle, a giant remote control car, MP3 player and his Skull Candy headphones. Kate's LOVED her kitchen, baby Belle, and her trunk full of dresses. Jake got him some fancy new belt buckles, a console for his Jeep and of course his Santa hat and blanket from Max and he also got a giant remote control car. I am so proud of my Santa Baby he put his hate of Steve Jobs and Apple aside and got me a touch IPOD. I am having fun figuring it out because he will not help me, he just says it is suppose to just work :)

We had a yummy breakfast at Grandma and Grandpa Sutch's, we hung out with the family for awhile and then back home to play with TOYS! We had a very nice relaxing day and Kate kept us fed with soup. I really do LOVE Christmas it is such a fun family day. The day after for me is kind of sad because it is over!

THE APPLE DOESN'T FALL FAR FROM THE TREE!

I love this....my Grandma Montgomery sent these pictures home with my dad. I knew Kate looked a lot like me but holly cow. She is such a goof ball the other day she was dancing around the living room and Jake asks her what she was doing, her reply was dancing with my monsters! I love her quirky personality. She must get that from Jake?!
I have so much to be thankful for and I am glad so many people I am thankful for are so close to me. Have a great Thanksgiving!!

A Thanksgiving must at our house

I use to think I did not like cranberry on turkey until we found this recipe. It could not have been that all I had ever had was that yucky jelly stuff from a can. We found this recipe on food network and really like it, thanks Emeril!!

~Orange Cranberry Sauce~
1 bag cranberries
2 oranges, zested and juiced
1/4 cup ruby port wine
( I have only uses a red Zinfandel wine it is what we had kicking around I would not know the difference anyway I am not up to date on my wine tasting. I am sure a red cooking wine would work too.)
3/4 cup sugar, or more as needed
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
1 cup toasted pecans or walnuts
( we have never used the nuts and I think it is good without)
Combine all ingredients together in medium sauce pan, bring to boil, reduce heat to simmering and cook until cranberries are tender, stirring occasionally. Continue cooking until sauce thickens, taste and add more sugar as needed. Fold in toasted nuts, cool and serve at room temperature.

ENJOY! We love Thanksgiving and trying new recipes. We love to add new things to our spread we serve.

P.S. Jake thinks I am CRAZY I put up my Christmas Tree today. I have been dying to, I got a new tree and decorations this year! I love it, my tree is a LITTLE bigger than I thought it would be. Bigger is always better right?

~MY SWEET BABY BOY~

Holly cow time goes by way too fast. My Max was the most beautiful & happy baby. His big brown eyes and huge smile would melt any one's heart! I can't believe he will be 6 in December. Oprah had a giveaway on her show this week for a free snapfish photo book so I made one of his baby pictures. I have not looked at them for a long time and had to share some. MMM I just want to smooch those cheeks again like I use to.
