First day of school 2011-2012

I don't really know where summer went but it is school time again. I get sad when school starts because I really love having the kids home and just having fun and no schedule.

Max started 3rd grade. His teacher is Miss Baxter and he does not look to excited but he had missed playing with his buddies.

My sweet little Kate started Kindergarten (sniff sniff) She is so excited to go to "Max's school" and make new friends. Her teacher is Ms. Rigby. She started a week after Max and it was killing her waiting a week to go to school.

She woke up early and picked out her darling outfit and curled her hair. She is such a little diva and I love it!

She headed right in the door, she looked back once and gave me a great big smile and wave! I love that she is so excited and ready for her new adventure, how can I be sad?
Me and my girl! I ♥ her so much!

Surgery #2

Nick went in for his follow up surgery on August 18. We got the same N.P. for pre-op, she was so cute and even remember Nicholas "the wild one". I was much more composed this time, I did not cry my eyes out when the anesthesiologist took him to the OR.

It was really fast, I felt like we had just sat down in the waiting room and I saw Dr. Grimmer walking down the hall to talk to us. It is such a relief when the doctor comes in with a great big smile on his face. He only had one area of scar tissue he had to remove and just dilated the area a bit. My sweet baby was only out of my arms maybe 30 minutes. He did not wake up quite as happy this time around but we were out the door less than an hour after surgery.

He was happy to come home and sleep off the anesthesia and by afternoon he was up and running like nothing had been done. We don't have to go back to Primary Childrens for a year! So thankful that we have such a great childrens hospital so close with great doctors. Thank you Dr Grimmer for taking such good care of Nicholas!

Kate's 5th Birthday

My Princess is 5!!! Where has the time gone. She wanted to have a water party with her friends. We went to the splash park in Highland, had pizza and cupcakes and played in the water.

Kate got a very special present from her Grandma Montgomery. A doll with a closet full of clothes. Her Grandma made all the clothes. Kate loves it.

Hadlee, Kate, Zoe and Halle at the splash park

Presents!!!

She wanted blueberry cupcakes, they were so pretty with sparkles and all

Kate is so much fun, she is very determined and won't stop until she gets what she wants. She still loves pink and purple. She loves to dance, play outside and play with friends. Her favorite toys are her dolls and barbies and will go in her room and play for hours. She picks out her outfits and definitely has her own style. Her hairstyle has to match her outfit and she will let you know what that is. She loves to go to the toe painting place. Her favorite food is chicken nuggets and she likes to drink orange juice. She loves her brothers and even her mom and dad. She has both of her grandpa's wrapped around her finger. She has a really big heart and once you meet her you are her friend for lifeH her big brown eyes melt my heart. She is so smart and so excited to start kindergarten and make new friends. I love her will all my heart and feel so blessed she is my little girl!!!

Summer...why does it go so fast???

We had a really fun summer but it went by too fast. Jake was working very insane hours at work so I was a single mom for most of July and August. We went to the park a lot and did make it to the pool a few times, but it is hard to take pictures when you are the only parent there. We sure missed having Jake with us, when he did have a free night the kids were so excited!

The kids made huts and loved the night I let them sleep in one!

Nick having a little Coke to cool off!

You have to run through the sprinklers in the Summer, it is a must!

Max played a few video games and they love taking all the pillows off the couch and making a big pillow bed to lay on.

Watching a movie in the tent. I love that Max and Kate are good friends.

Swimming lessons...Max attempting to dive!?!

Kate was a little nervous this year, she was in the deep end and had to really try to swim. This is her practicing her ice cream scoop arms!

Nick just loved being outside!!! He would eat breakfast on the deck every morning. He also loved to help water the garden and flowers. He might have played in the water a little too.

Max the monkey playing at the park.

We had lots of "late nights" watching movies and eat pop pop!!

Kate loved having friends over to play, this is her and Hadlee!!

Max played machine pitch again this year and did great!!

Kate and her BFF Halli

Kate played T-ball and she was so funny to watch! She is such a girly girl! Watching her run was the best.

Lighting off some fireworks on the 4th. Tank wars!!

Roasting marshmallows with my girl!!

Nick driving his car having some road rage!!

Max and Graham jumping on the tramp with the sprinkler!! The kids love when the cousins come to stay in the Summer.

Feeding the ducks with the cousins.
