Cowboy Max

Friday night Max was one of the Mutton busters at the Strawberry Days Rodeo! His score was 80 and he was second place. They let him pick his sheep, he wanted a mean black one but the black one was not big enough for him( he thought). So he picked the big white shaggy one. He said it was spitting. Max was pretty stoked a real cowboy(one of the bare -back riders getting ready for the rodeo) gave him a pat on the back and said good lucky buddy as they were putting him on the sheep! I think I would have cried after that spill but no tears from Max! He says he wants to do it again next year, maybe third time will be the charm to win! Good Job buckaroo!

What was I doing 10 years ago?
I was finishing up Summer block finals and it was about 1 week before our wedding. It is our 10 year anniversary on June 27.I was very stressed doing all the last minute wedding stuff. In April I finished my first semester of Nursing school. I also was working at Walkers as an Asst. Manager…sweet.


5 years ago?
Max was 6 months old. Man he was a cute, he was sitting up, smiling at everyone and knocking them out with is big brown eyes. I had just quit my job at AF hospital to go work for Mt. Timp. Women’s Healthcare, an OBGYN office. We had been in our new house just over a year and loving being new parents.


1 year ago?
Kate was 10 months old and so dang cute, she loved eating shaved ice. Max was 4, playing T-ball ,going to dirt work, had staples in his head and just being a fun little man. We were hitting the pool on my days off, and playing outside as much as we could. Holy cow it was hot last summer!


Yesterday ?
I went to work and took care of pregnant mom’s, snuck away from work for swimming lessons cuz Max said I was not a good mom if I did not come, we hit the City of Fun Carnival J(too many people for me), laundry, and dishes …but isn’t that every day!!!

?? I don’t really read books, I do like to read a good trashy gossip magazine ,my Paula Dean cooking magazine and my friends blogs.

5. Really anywhere warm, I love the beach. We don’t get away much these are all just dreams!!

1. Swearing

1. When the kitchen cabinets get left open or any door that should be closed

5. I hate the word intercourse and I have to say it at work multiple times a day. It is weird saying sex to someone my mom’s age or just that you don’t know.

Happy Fathers Day Jake!! I am quite bias but he is the best dad I know!! He is a kid at heart, would give a complete stranger the shirt off his back and is such a hard worker. I love that he is always teaching them something, like how it works or where it comes from. I am so blessed he is such a great example to my children.

Max always says he is the luckiest that Jake is his dad. He always plays with him whether it is the Wii, army guys or Lego's and he has the coolest job he plays games all day:) Max has had a hard time that Jake has been so busy with school and work lately he will be glad when school is done this week. They are best buddies and Max is a mini me of Jake. Jake's pictures of when he was young look just like Max.

Kate feels the same way, if she could talk better she would tell you so. The back door opens at night and she yells daddy daddy daddy! He is always there to babysit her babies for her and treats her as his little princess. Both of them love to lay on Jake's back when he is down on the floor reading or doing homework. Max use to fall asleep there at nights. WE ARE SO LUCKY TO CALL HIM OUR DADDY! WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!

MaRAtHoN DAy Of FUN!!!!

Yesterday was fun we went to see Kung Fu Panda. It was Kate's first time to the movie and I tried it alone....big mistake. She was so good but after sitting for 10 min before the movie started and then the previews she only made it about 20 minutes into the move and she was done! Oh well Max loved it and Kate and I roamed the theater.

Next we hit the pool, yeah it is finally warm enough to do that!! Max had a blast playing with Max and Sam Haynie and Holden!!! We did not even see the boys once they hit the water. And my FEARLESS FISH KATE loved the pool. She is such a social butterfly and will try and make a friend anywhere or just get in good so she can play with their toys. She has no fear of the water and loves her face getting wet :) She really liked catching some rays eating a snow cone too. That was fun! I can't for many more trips to the pool. I was glad Robyn even ventured out to the pool!

Monday night we finally ate dinner outside and now it is storming again. Grandma Money(Montgomery) bought the kids this great picnic table and we want to use it. Eating outside on the patio is one of the greatest things about summer.... BBQ, paper plates, and hosing down the spilled rootbeer!! And my kitchen stays clean...ok cleaner. We have not even gone to the pool yet and we really want to! Lets all pray for Sun!!! Especially for Strawberry Days next week!!!

BYE BYE BA BA

It has been over a 1 week now and the bottle is gone! I had been dreading doing this but it was not too bad. She went to bed last Wednesday night and I took all the bottles out of the cupboard and put her a new princess puppy in there. The next day when she asked for one we went to the cupboard and I told her the ba ba fairy came and left her a present. The first day she would not take a nap and finally way after bedtime she collapsed in exhaustion. Thank goodness, NO sleepless nights :) My next fear was at daycare because the other babies have the same bottles that she had. She only once tried to mugg Halee for her bottle. It is kind of sad because this just means she is growing up and I want her to still be a baby. I love you my little princess!!!!

It was Max's first T-Ball game this evening. He is dark blue and is so excited because last year he was purple and that was not cool enough for him. Tonight was extra special because he got to VS. his buddy Holden ,as he would say it. Max is pretty good at baseball we are working on the catching, he is very good at batting. He does very well when you pitch to him...next year buddy you can play coach pitch! He is so excited and it is a great way to run out some energy!
