THE GREAT PUMPKIN

We had pumpkins to carve and I could not resist the 75 degree afternoon sun!!! It was absolutely beautiful outside and not to mention no pumpkin guts mess in my kitchen. So out we went to carve our pumpkins~

I am not the artistic one in the family{that would be Jake hint hint title at work artist} therefore the pumpkins lack creativity this year. Thankfully Papa Ned stopped by and gave me a hand. He supervised Max so we did not loose any fingers, toes, or eyes!

What a fun thing to do on OUR DAY OFF! I hate when I spend them doing boring mom stuff! Thanks Kido's!!

Another busy Saturday...Max, Kate and Jake got their flu shots this morning. Kate is so cute she is sobbing and in between the tears she tells the nurse thank you! Max was ticked, and my dear husband wanted to take pictures of the poor little ones upset and no SD card. Then Max was off to Halloween cooking school and he had so much fun. He really loves going to these little classes! And the things they make are yummy!

After that we went to eat with my family for my Mom's birthday!! We love you Mom Happy Birthday on Wednesday! We enjoyed PF Chang's...mmmm(forgot camera card again) Max and Kate had so much fun playing with Ian, Adam, and Maiya!

Max's field trip to Hee Haws!

Max was up early this morning excited for his first field trip in kindergarten. He could not wait to ride a school bus. I got to go with him and Kate and Jake met us there. We got lost in the corn maze, it could not have been that we let 5 year olds lead us. They loved the animals and the slides. Man those kids are cute and they say the funniest things but I am not up for being a kindergarten teacher! Thank you Mr. Hunt I don't know how you do it everyday!

I am sick of this week

Ok this has been a long week…Kate started it with vomiting on Sunday, diarrhea on Monday, and Tuesday a fever and severe abdominal pain which took us to the pediatrician and from there to the hospital for an ultrasound and blood work to make sure she did not have appendicitis. Thank goodness she did not. Max joined the fun Wednesday with vomiting and feeling yucky!! I made it to work finally on Thursday and Max and Kate back to their normal routine too. I love to stay home with my kids but not on this circumstance. I have been washing everything trying to get rid of the bad juju so I don't get sick next….

My mom and I took the kids the the Scarecrow Festival at Thanksgiving Point. I was a little apprehensive because we had gone to the Boo Fest with Max one year and it was dumb. This was cute, Max and Kate had so much fun at the rocket launch. I want to have Jake build us one! They played all the games and of course loved the bouncers!

The crisp cold air, crunchy autumn leaves, warm cider, crisp sweet caramel apples, and rice puff balls means only one thing…HALLOWEEN is coming!!

If you know us well you know we love to dress up and think of fun original costumes. This year is going to be hard Max keeps changing his mind to what he wants to be. I think everyday it is something new. Kate is happy if it is Cute!!

Halloween is a fun memory for me I loved these rice puff balls my Grandma Cobbley use to make every year, the Halloween carnival at school when you could still BAKE a CAKE for the cake walk. The sPOok aLLeY that was really scary not fun for everyone. And all of the old Retro decorations we would decorate with!

I wish you good luck in finding that perfect costume and my kids really enjoyed this on Disney.com they have old Halloween cartoons that you can watch. Like old Mickey mouse and Donald duck!
