Our one and only camping trip for the year....

Max has been asking all summer to go camping and we had not made it, so it was the annual Phillips family reunion so we decided to go. It was up Hobble Creek right by the golf course. It was grassy and we had this big pavilion that was nice.We only went over night but the kids had a lot fun.

On Saturday afternoon the kids painted their very own cars for the drive in. That night they all pulled their cars up and watched the movie Cars on the big screen. They had popcorn, treats and drinks! What a cute idea! The funny thing was the kids sat in those silly cars and watched the movie!

They cooked dutch oven one night and the kids were in heaven they had ribs! There is always good food at the reunions

I took my camera and only took a few pictures. I survived the tent for a night, Kate did not want to be confined to a sleeping bag and kept us up most of the night kicking to get out of the sleeping bag. Next time she is booted off the air mattress. Max had a blast playing with all the boys and of course Kate was my social butterfly!

Kate's 1st day of "cooking class"

Today was Kater's first day of Toddler class or as the kids call it cooking class. Grandma Sutch took her for me because I had to work. Max went when he was her age and started calling it cooking class and it stuck. It is really fun it is once a week and it is for Kate and me. They usually always make some kind of treat or food and then do fun activities, read stories, color ect.
Today she told me she got to make a milk shake with real milk and a straw, paint a picture with cars and make a necklace with beads. I think her and grandma had a blast! Today was a big group event and Monday starts her class! What a big girl!

Her necklace/name tag

In front of the rec center the sun was in her eyes :(

Thanks for the pictures Grandma Sutch!

Max's first day of 1st grade!!!

I can't believe it Summer is already over...so that means back to school! Max started first grade on Thursday. All day long, it was weird not having him with us. Kate was very sad, she cried for about an hour after we walked him to school. His teacher is Mr. Zonts, he is new this year. He was pretty excited to go, he did not want to eat school lunch so we packed a lunch and off he went. When I picked him up he said he it was fun and he liked his teacher but I was not so convinced, I was actually a little worried, the more we talked when we got home the more he told me and he seemed better. He loved having 2 recess! Day #2 was better he got right up and was all smiles, Phew..., he ate school lunch and was happy for the weekend but can't wait to return on Monday!
After school snacks....

My baby girl is 3!!

I can't believe she is 3. It seem just like yesterday I was bringing that beautiful black haired baby girl home from the hospital! August 17, 2006

Now she is the princess in charge of our house. Some of my favorite things about Kate are.....

She love love loves PINK and loves it even more if it sparkles.

She loves to sing and dance

She loves to play with dolls and puts them night night all over my living room.

She is very social and loves to hug everyone. Everyone is Kate's friend.

When she is playing she is always talking to herself.

She tells Jake to look at her when she is talking to him, because she already knows he is not listening unless you have eye contact!

She makes me laugh everyday!
She tells me I am beautiful and that she loves me!

I could go on forever I love her so much. Well we had a great party, the weather did not cooperate for the water party so we made play dough, played got a bunch of great gifts, and had fun cotton candy machine. I think the adults had as much fun with the cotton candy as the kids.

Jason could not get enough of the cotton candy!

My sweet husband is a carnie deep down inside

Abby, Coby, and Holden loving their cotton candy

Sweet Maddie, her cotton candy was bigger than her head!

Kate and her BFF Hallie

Kate sporting her shades and eating a little something sweet!

Making playdough

Jake made Kate's cake, he was thinking it didn't turn out that great and Kate came bouncing up, "Daddy is is so beautiful!" it melted his heart!!

Kate loves you all thanks for the good times!
